Lendy Cowes Week – The story so far

By

Lendy, Europe’s leading peer to peer secured lending platform, and the title sponsor of Lendy Cowes Week gives its view on how the first Lendy Cowes Week has progressed.

Liam Brooke – Co Founder, Lendy Ltd comments:

“What a week! We are so proud to be the title sponsor of Lendy Cowes Week 2017, the best sailing regatta anywhere in the world. Our aim was to help invigorate the event, and it certainly feels like a very effective collaboration and the start of a very successful three-year partnership.”

“We’re not a company that likes to sit back, and I’m pleased how much we have been able get involved in the event, from racing, to attending the many events and balls, to fundraising for the official regatta charity, the Andrew Simpson Foundation.”

“As a fast-growing company, we’ve also raised awareness of who we are, which was another of our aims this week. I’d like to thank the Cowes Week LTD team, the Royal Yacht Squadron and the Royal London Yacht Club for their very warm hospitality, and for the generosity of every single person we met during our time here. We can’t wait for 2018!”

Paul Riddell – Head of Marketing & Communications, Lendy LTD continues:

“We’re almost at the end of the largest, and the oldest sailing regatta in the world, and what a week it has been.”

“The aim for us was to generate name and brand awareness and raise the profile of the burgeoning peer-to-peer investment sector and from my perspective, as Head of Marketing and Communications, we have definitely done that.”

“The week has flashed by, with us hosting a wide range of guests from Ben Fogle and Olympian Hannah Mills, to Denise Van Outen and actor James Norten in the Lendy Guest Lounge. We’ve also been out on the water as part of the Sunsail Match Fast 40 and we’ve been competing triumphantly in the Lendy Finance Challenge with peers from the financial sector.”

“All this plus partnering with the Andrew Simpson Foundation ‘Discover Sailing supported by Lendy’ programme, and of course the Lendy Fireworks Finale. We have been overwhelmed with the welcome and hospitality from the island people and the sailing community, and are already excited about putting on an even better show next year.”
