JWA Recruitment has re-branded to Podium as it gets set for future growth.

The group, which was launched last July, with the aim of providing tailored specialist recruitment and consultancy services to the Specialist Lending space said the change took effect on Friday 22 October.

The Manchester-based firm said the rebrand to Podium was a ‘signal of optimism, change and progression”.

It added: “The idea around Podium is that we “Put your Success First”, whether you are an experienced professional seeking a new opportunity or a business owner looking for that special talent to take your company to the next level.

As well as working with some of the most talented individuals in our sectors, we also pride ourselves on cultivating extremely close and successful working relationships with some of the best employers in our space.

Our name may have changed, but our goal of matching great candidates with great employers remains the same.”

Since its launch it has seen month on month growth, with its headcount doubling to nine with the latest recruit set to join in early November. It has placed around £3million worth of salaried vacancies into the market to date.

“The rebrand to Podium is an exciting step in taking our business to the next level. I am passionate about the Bridging and Development space, and we look forward to continuing to service the industry for many years to come.

This last 12 months have been very significant for us, we have had the opportunity to work on numerous Director Level and C-suite level openings while continuing to make a positive contribution towards the growth and success of the short-term lending arena,” said co-founder Daniel Greenhalgh who has worked in the short-term lending space for almost seven years.

“In July, we added Tom Simpson to the Property Finance team to help support roles across credit and origination functions, we also have plans to further grow the team in 2022.

I’m also excited to roll out some new technologies next year which I believe will enable us to further support the sector.

The optimism, grit, and determination of the industry during what was a challenging 2020 has inspired me personally. I’ve said this many times to clients before, we genuinely “love the property finance space”.”

Paul Swanick, Chief Executive Officer of Podium Recruitment, and with over 30 years’ experience in banking and commercial lending added:

“Starting a business in the middle of a pandemic may not have been seen as the wisest move, however, we always believed we had a best-in-class proposition to service the employment needs of our clients within Financial Services.

We are now 16 months since those initial steps and have taken the opportunity to rebrand, sporting a new logo and an entirely new look.

For the next phase of our journey, we are excited to announce our new name – Podium Recruitment Limited.

Our commitment to our customers will be to continue our outstanding levels of service and I want to personally thank all our clients for confidence in our ability to support them with their employee needs, and to our candidates in trusting us with their careers”.

Since taking over the day-to-day running of the business in early 2021, Swanick has overseen a period of record growth and expansion.

Greenhalgh said that the group has exciting plans in respect of its disciplines with the aim of introducing further teams to support additional lending products in 2022.
