We speak to Head of Lending, Nick Hilton:

What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

Creating a competitive edge within our business model in a saturated lending market.

What keeps you focussed?

Meeting deadlines and a solid business plan.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Drive, charisma and positivity.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

I’m definitely an optimist. You don’t get anywhere with negativity.

What did you want to be as a child?

A footballer or in a boy band (secretly still do).

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

Complications of MCD and the grey areas surrounding it.

Who or what makes you laugh?

Sarcasm and wicked humour.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

Not at all, quite the opposite as I love Mondays!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’m pretty impatient and extremely stubborn however sometimes this helps me to push deals through faster so they’re not entirely bad traits.

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Winston Churchill and Cher.
