First 4 Bridging (F4B) has extended its presence in the North West of England with the appointment of Simon Bancroft, pictured above, as business development manager for the region.

His role will involve strengthening existing, and forging new, specialist lending relationships to grow F4B’s business in the North West. He will also be tasked with supporting intermediary partners, building additional distribution channels and developing introducer relationships with accountants and solicitors to showcase F4B’s access to a range of specialist lending solutions – including bridging finance, complex buy-to-let, second charge loans and development finance.

Simon is a qualified financial adviser and has vast experience working with individual and commercial clients on all aspects of financial planning. In recent years he has been heavily involved in helping SME’s meet short to medium-term funding solutions.

This appointment follows a highly successful 2019 in which F4B achieved fully regulated status with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This allowed the specialist distributor to move into the second charge marketplace and to undertake other regulated activities which resulted in significant growth throughout the company.

Steve Swyny, Head of Sales at F4B, commented:

“The addition of Simon to the growing F4B team allows us to better assist our existing brokers and introducers in the North West to extend their business models. With over 20 years’ experience advising private and commercial clients, Simon will support, encourage and help source appropriate solutions for these brokers and introducers, whilst also being well placed to identify new opportunities for further business growth across the region.”

Simon Bancroft, Business Development Manager (North West) at F4B, added:

“There is huge potential for an established and experienced player in the specialist lending market, such as F4B, to further extend its reach across such a buoyant region of the UK, and I’m excited to be involved at this important juncture in its ambitious growth plans.”
