Bridging lender Fiduciam has strengthened its team with the appointment of Maria Magnussen as Business Development Manager

Maria has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services. She started her career as a broker and for the past six years has been a BDM, working at Dragonfly Property Finance, Borro, and most recently, Hope Capital.

For the past two years Maria has been a BDM in London and the South East; in her new role at Fiduciam Maria will be covering East Anglia, London, Herts and Cambridgeshire.

Maria will be instrumental in building and maintaining good relationships with brokers and their clients, and prides herself on always offering the highest level of service.

Maria Magnussen, pictured, said:

“Having worked in the specialist broking market, firstly as a broker and more recently as a business development manager, I understand both sides, and am fully aware of brokers’ needs and frustrations and I think this makes it easier for me to build up successful relationships with both new and existing brokers.”

Johan Groothaert, CEO of Fiduciam added:

“We are very happy to have been able to strengthen our UK origination team with such high calibre talent as Maria.  Her joining us is an endorsement of our institutional funding arrangement, which allows us to underwrite a wider variety of, and larger sizes in loans than most of our competitors.

“We have invested substantially in our UK capability so far this year adding two senior underwriters, two BDMs and three case managers.  More hires are to come later in the Summer.”
