Specialist publishing company, Clara Media has announced the launch of its latest online specialist finance publication.

Specialist Finance Directory is aimed at IFAs, mortgage brokers and lenders that are serious about securing fast and effective solutions for specialist finance.

The new website will offer a comprehensive list of key companies in the specialist finance industry with company profiles, as well as covering all the latest industry news and interviews with the industry’s movers and shakers.

Tony Sanchez, director Clara Media said:

“Specialist finance providers are fulfilling a real need in today’s economic environment, where appetite to lend amongst the mainstream community is still low.

New research from Masthaven Bank reveals that specialist intermediaries’ confidence in the specialist lending market continues to rise.

Its latest Broker Beat report found that nearly three quarters (73%) of intermediaries working in the specialist sector feel confident about the prospects for the mortgage market.

A growing number of borrowers do not fit traditional lending criteria and the opportunities here for brokers and specialist lenders are unique.

Specialist Finance Directory will keep brokers up to date with all the latest industry news”.

Rob Jupp, CEO, The Brightstar Group said:

“There is huge appetite amongst brokers to learn more about specialist lending and I know the team at Clara Media will help to support the growth of the market with its fantastic new website.”

Marcus Dussard, Director of Sales, Castle Trust commented:

“Bridging Loan Directory has developed a loyal following over the years in the bridging space and I’ve no doubt that Specialist Finance Directory will do the same.

Specialist finance is a growing market with a lot of potential and this new website will help to raise the profile of the industry even further.”

Gary Bailey, managing director, Hope Capital, welcomes the launch of the new publication, stating:

“The specialist lending market is growing fast so a dedicated site where brokers can go will benefit not only the broker community, but also the lenders.

The site will enable brokers to see opportunities and get the right product for their clients, whilst providing a great educational resource to help them progress their businesses.

“Of course, Specialist Finance Directory has a great pedigree and solid foundation being part of the Clara Media family and will complement its sister site BLD perfectly.

We look forward to contributing and wish Tony and the team every success.”

Daniel Yeo, Managing Director, Specialist Finance Centre said:

“It’s a testament to the awareness that has been raised with regards specialist finance products that IFAs and mortgage brokers specifically are encouraged to be able to source solutions for their clients direct with specialist lenders.

However, the place of specialist finance brokers has proven to be critical in obtaining these solutions also. A lot of the time these types of cases need a company who do this day in day out.

Specialist finance has a different landscape to more traditional funding solutions, different ways of underwriting and assessing the cases, different ways of presenting cases to the lenders.

The majority of IFAS and mortgage brokers would still rather partner up with a company that can do this work for them so they can focus on their core product offering.

A site like Specialist Finance Directory providing relevant and up to date news on specialist finance products, as well as a comprehensive list of end providers and specialist intermediaries who can be utilised for the type of client / applications that require the “specialist” touch is hugely welcomed.”

Liz Syms, CEO at Connect for Intermediaries concluded:

“Specialist finance is quickly becoming the normal type of finance for many. For example, we live in a culture where a job for life is no longer the norm, and complex income needs such as newly self-employed, and contract workers still need lending solutions.

“Many advisers believe that the advance of new technology may put at risk the number of clients that will turn to an adviser for assistance in the mainstream market and are upskilling in areas of specialist finance where they see they will be able to continue to add value.

“It is great, therefore, to see Clara Media launching this publication in support of this growing market, in particular, the specialist lending directory will help mainstream advisers to understand who the providers are in the market and build their knowledge.”
