ScotLend expands dual representation to England and Wales
By Bridging Loan Directory
Specialist bridging lender ScotLend has announced the rollout of dual representation in England and Wales, expanding a process already proven to accelerate completions across its Scottish lending.
The move gives brokers and borrowers a faster, more streamlined legal process, reducing duplication, cutting costs, and helping deals complete within tight timeframes.
To demonstrate the impact, ScotLend recently worked with Graham Reid of DMK Finance on a £180,000 bridging loan secured against an unencumbered buy-to-let property in Nottingham.
The funds were required to support a business opportunity and clear a historic HMRC liability.
By employing dual rep solicitors, Lansdowne Law, and an AVM in place of a full valuation, ScotLend was able to deliver the facility quickly and efficiently, showcasing how the expanded process benefits brokers operating across England and Wales.
David Travers, Director at ScotLend, said:
“Dual representation has been a huge success in Scotland, it saves time, reduces friction, and gets brokers to completion faster.
Extending it to England and Wales means more brokers can benefit from the same straightforward, no-drama process that’s become our hallmark.”
