Hope Capital doubles Shawbrook facility after record growth
By Bridging Loan Directory

Specialist short-term lender, Hope Capital, has once again strengthened its partnership with Shawbrook Bank by securing an enhanced funding facility in June, following a record-breaking period of growth.
After initially securing a £25 million committed facility from Shawbrook Bank in 2023, along with another multi-million-pound facility at the end of 2024, the latest agreement has doubled this amount, significantly increasing Hope Capital’s capacity to support brokers and borrowers.
The short-term lender is on course to achieve its most successful year to date, with significant growth in enquiries and completions.
This upward trajectory is further strengthened by the continued support of Shawbrook Bank, which will play a key role as the lender prepares to introduce a range of new product offerings in the near future.
Kate Cowan, Chief Financial Officer at Hope Capital, commented:
“We’re extremely proud to have maintained a strong partnership with the team at Shawbrook Bank for nearly two years now and are grateful for their continued support.
Securing a new funding facility once again last month, is a significant and exciting milestone, expanding the scope of what we can achieve as a lender in the short-term market.
Our diversified funding structure remains a critical component in delivering certainty to our growing network of brokers and borrowers, while maintaining the high service standards we are known for.”
The new Shawbrook facility will sit alongside Hope Capital’s existing facilities with Triple Point and a growing number of High-Net-Worth investors.
Warren Mutch, Head of Speciality Finance at Shawbrook, added:
“Since initially delivering a funding line for Hope Capital back in 2023, we have seen the business grow substantially and maintained our support with a facility top-up late last year.
Kate and the team at Hope are now looking to move to their next stage of growth with new products and we are delighted to continue supporting them on their journey.”
