Alternative Bridging Corporation announces new appointments

Alternative Bridging Corporation is announcing the expansion of the company with the employment of two new members:  Mike Jones, a second Business Development Manager, and Lawrence Burgess, Relationship Director.  With a broad range of credentials between them, each brings a specific skillset to the ABC team.

With ABC heavily focused on commercial property and business community bridging, this expansion is highly reflective of ABC’s recent step forward in branding and company development.

Jonathan Rubins, ABC’s Managing Director said:

“Ensuring that our borrowers and brokers are aware of our commercial focus as a key lender in the short-term lending market has been paramount over the past year or so.  As a result we have invested in various initiatives such as our new, easy-to-use website, instigating broker-incentive prize draws, and adding significant presence at various industry events, such as the AOBP Quarterly Forum and the recent MBE Expo; we will also be attending the upcoming NACFB to further this process.  And we have just been shortlisted in the ‘Best Commercial Lender’ category in the Bridging and Commercial 2012 Awards, so we must be doing something right!

Expanding the team to support such progression is reflective of the trust that the broking and borrowing community continues to place in ABC, and we will respond by continuing our focus and expertise on short-term loans for the property and business community.”

Mike Jones is looking to generate strong connections and communication between ABC and its brokers, whilst rekindling connections in his own network within the bridging industry. Ready to make a name for both ABC and himself in the broking world, Mike was keen to comment on his new role in ABC:

“ABC’s strong reputation as a respected and established company is well-recognised by brokers and lenders alike. For my own personal benefit, being able to work with Jonathan Rubins and Stephen Meller enables me to draw on a wealth of knowledge and experience which I trust will complement my own expertise and make me a valuable asset to ABC.”

As the new Relationship Director, Lawrence Burgess’ focus will be on building up communications with the professional community, and with a lifelong experience in real estate and asset finance, his experience and skills will doubtless prove invaluable to ABC.

Jonathan Rubins continues:

“It was evident to us that we had to grow our staff base in order to respond to the corresponding growth in our broker and borrower needs, and the addition of Mike and Lawrence – both of whom fully understand our products and intermediary requirements – will enable us to do this quickly and easily.”

Looking to the future of the industry and the company he added:

“The challenge for the market is identifying those who ‘can’, rather than those who ‘would like to’!  We have never seen ourselves as simply a traditional bridger but a provider of alternative finance for the commercial market, and appointment of Mike and Lawrence are significant steps which reinforce our position in this arena.”
